Job description

As a Data Scientist within DAnA (Data Analytics and Automation), you develop innovative AI solutions with a strong OCR and Natural Language Processing component, aimed at solving critical business problems using unstructured data (text, audio, image) and cutting-edge technologies. The scope covered by the team is broad, spanning potentially all departments of Partenamut, with the ambition of playing a key role in the company digital acceleration.

Daily :

You process and combine structured and unstructured data from various types to develop innovative solutions solving identified business needs or opening new possibilities.
You evaluate, validate and productize your developments, in collaboration with relevant colleagues.
You exchange with your squad members (PO, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, RPA) to make sure the solutions are meeting the business needs and are efficiently implemented. You actively take part in the (agile) life of the squad.
You collaborate with other colleagues according to the needs (architect, DPO, DevOps, business…). This way you ensure your developments are compliant, you grow the knowledge of colleagues, or you identify new opportunities.
You contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's way of working, by defining and insuring the use of good practices in diverse areas such as Documentation, (ML)Ops, collaboration…
You have fun collaborating with amazing colleagues and discussing fascinating (non-)work related topics.

Profile

You have a Master’s degree or a PhD, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics or Data Science. Anyway, independently of your background, you have a big affinity with Data and IT, together with a strong analytical mindset.
You have at least 5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist / ML Engineer and you have at least 3 years of experience extracting information from unstructured data (text and image). In particular, you have successfully deployed Deep Learning and Large Language Models to solve actual business problems.
You are fluent in Python. Knowledge of SQL is an asset.
You are fully comfortable with the main ML/AI principles and algorithms and have experience developing ML models from structured data as well.
You have experience developing and maintaining such assets on AWS and you have practical experience of implementing MLOps good practices.
You have a strong work ethic, can work autonomously as well as collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds (data engineering, data translators, data analysts) and you are not afraid of being proactive regarding the choice of a technical solution or the proposal of new directions to explore. In other words, you contribute to our team objective of being an inspiration force for our colleagues and the company.
Next to your technical skills, you love solving actual problems. You are creative but pragmatic regarding the use of AI and are also able to explain complex topics in clear and simple terms.
You have English and French full business proficiency. Dutch is an asset.
