Bioprocess Technician

To support the growth of our bioconversion unit, we are looking for a highly motivated Bioprocess Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our bioconversion processes. ✨

In this role, you will be in the field responsible for the technical operations of our first demonstration plant, and soon our first industrial plants, helping us bring to life our vision of a fully circular commercial biorefinery operation.

👉 Responsibilities:

Implement end-to-end bioprocesses. These include mushroom-based fermentation, downstream separation and purification processes, as well as anaerobic digestion processes, which have already been tested under real conditions. 🍄

• Run fermentation tests from small scale (liters) to large scale (m3) 

• Perform cleaning and maintenance of fermentation equipment

• Manage the preparation, transfer, and management of various raw materials used in the fermentation process

Support continuous improvement : Identify bottlenecks, test solutions, and iterate quickly in a startup environment.

🎓 Formation: Bachelor's degree or higher in agri-food, agro-waste, environment, […] or a related field.

💼 Professional experience: Ideally, some experience in food processing and/or bioprocesses

🔬 Technical skills:

• Convenience of use of laboratory equipment and basic analytical tools (e.g., balances, pH meters, spectrophotometers)

• Ability to monitor, record and interpret process parameters (pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, etc.)

• Understanding of fungal biology and microbial culture techniques

• Knowledge of downstream processes such as filtration, separation or drying

• Comfortable with lab, pilot or industry-scale fermentation systems (e.g., solid-state fermentation, batch, fed-batch)
