Internship - Genomic lab technician

To support the exciting growth of our computational biology unit, we're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Genomic Lab Technician Intern to join our team. In this crucial internship, you'll play a direct role in our research and development efforts, gaining hands-on experience in the development of fungal cultures.

👉 As an intern, you will contribute and learn about:

• Assist in the development of fungal cultures to increase biomass yield

• Develop and optimize extraction methods to ensure high-quality DNA and RNA from pure cultures and environmental samples

• Perform long-read sequencing protocols, including library preparation and sequencing using the Nanopore platform

Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in biology, microbiology, environmental science, or a related field, 🎓

Availability: We are looking for year-round interns for a minimum period of three months 📆

Technical skills and interests:

Foundational knowledge of molecular biology techniques, such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and third-generation sequencing.

A keen interest in soil microbiology and fungal cultivation
