Job description
CERDECAM, the research centre of ECAM Brussels Engineering School, wishes to strengthen its team as part of the Destore project, funded by Wallonia as part of a joint call for Mécatech and Greenwin clusters.
The aim of this project is to create a thermal storage battery as part of the flexibilisation of energy demand. This is a project with a high potential for societal impact in the field of domestic energy consumption, as the research will be applied and market-oriented.
The project has two industrial partners (SME – start-up type) and two academic partners.
The candidate will be fully involved in a variety of research activities, with a particular focus on:
Development of a demonstrator
Validation of experimental prototypes on a dedicated test bench
Profile
Technical skills:
Development of electromechanical devices (design, mechanical manufacturing)
Skills in thermal and fluid mechanics
Industrial or civil engineering degree. Research experience is an asset, but junior candidates are also encouraged to apply.
Personal skills:
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team
Required languages:
English: Minimum C1 / B1 level.
French: Minimum C2 / B1 level.

6-month fixed-term contract, can lead to a permanent contract with Destore at the end of the project.
