Dismissal with humanity: HR and recruiters from the perspective of
Dismissal with humanity is never a neutral subject.
Behind the legal framework, there are people, emotions, teams... and human responsibilities that are often underestimated.
In this episode of hrmeetup.©, Humana section, recorded during a Humana evening at transforma bxl in Brussels, several HR and recruitment professionals share their feedback on a sensitive theme: dismissal with humanity.
Through a workshop combining a legal framework and role-playing, the participants explored the postures of the manager, the HR, and the dismissed person.
This format highlights the very real tensions between empathy, business pressure, the legal framework and emotional reality.
Three focuses of the Humana evening
At our microphone, Gwendoline de Robiano, Audrey Remacle and Romain Ognibene share their feelings around our three focuses: fun, collaboration / co-creation, and learning for the next day.
The exchanges also reveal the impact, often underestimated, of dismissal on the remaining team, the internal climate, employer branding, future onboarding , etc. and even the professional trajectory of the person who is leaving.
Without judgment or simplification, this episode gives a voice to voices from the field: what surprises, what shakes up, what remains difficult, despite experience.
A useful moment of listening for HR, managers, executives, and anyone confronted, directly or indirectly, with these complex decisions.
At the end of the episode, a call to leave a voice message allows us to extend the reflection and nourish the collective dialogue.
