Job description

As a clinical psychologist, you will join the mobile team of the crisis unit at the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc. Your main mission will be to intervene rapidly with patients in crisis situations, both in the hospital and at home, in order to provide an initial clinical evaluation and direct them to the most appropriate care.

You will also join the EMUT project, which aims to defuse certain acute situations and support law enforcement by collaborating with the police.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing immediate psychological care to patients admitted to the crisis unit in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team;
  • Analyzing the patient's request in a crisis situation to determine the relevance of a referral to a psychiatrist, hospitalization, or external structures;
  • Conducting mobile interventions at home, at the request of patients, relatives, or care partners (service vehicle provided);
  • Participating in the overall assessment of crisis situations on a psychological, social, and contextual level;
  • Providing psychological support to patients and, if necessary, their relatives;
  • Actively participating in clinical meetings and team consultations to ensure a coherent and concerted approach;
  • Coordinating and acting as a liaison with the various actors in the mental health network.

Profile

  • University degree in clinical psychology and clinical psychologist visa required;
  • Experience in a hospital environment or crisis mental health, in a multidisciplinary team, preferred;
  • Additional training (3rd cycle) is a significant asset;
  • Strong clinical skills, sharp analytical ability, and a sense of professional ethics;
  • Very good relational, listening, and empathy skills;
  • Autonomy, flexibility, and responsiveness in contexts that are sometimes urgent or unstable;
  • Category B driving license essential.
