Product Developer - Textile
Job description
Bambaw helps people replace everyday products with sustainable and sustainable alternatives: ranging from zero-waste essentials to a range of super comfortable home textiles (Bambaw Cozy) designed for better comfort, rest and sleep. Bambaw is part of Brolutions, a growing house of mission-driven consumer brands. This means that you will not only work on a single product range, but also contribute to the textile development for our other brands. We are a team of 25+ people based in Brussels and working from home, developing high-end products that prioritize sustainability and quality.
Your mission
Take on the technical and quality development of our range of home textiles, from the brief to the post-launch. You will set product and quality standards, conduct clear and continuous communication with our suppliers to provide production-ready specifications and approvals, and ensure the long-term performance of the product. On a daily basis, it is a matter of practical management of a growing range: creation of references and clear technical sheets, management of quality and supplier issues.
What you're going to do
Being our home textile expert — taking on the roadmap and quality of new products in the category, and integrating the broader brand roadmap with the Brand Manager.
Own home textile product development from brief to launch — guiding the new product roadmap across the range.
Build and structure the SKU range (sizes, colors, sets) and write clear data sheets/technical packs that suppliers can execute.
Be the single point of contact with our textile suppliers, coordinate technical packs, materials, dyeing, finishing and sampling rounds.
Possess textile quality: Define pre-launch test plans, review inspections and returns, and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers.
Pre-evaluate new fabrics and constructions with laboratories and suppliers, and turn the results into clear recommendations for the roadmap.
Keep specifications, test learnings, and quality standards logged and reusable in our Product Development Wiki.
Profile
The instinct to dig: When a product underperforms, you want to know why—you formulate a hypothesis, set up the test, interview the supplier, and keep going until it's solved.
Comfortable with numbers and Excel, and able to build a range of SKUs and write clear spec sheets that suppliers can execute — or the analytical ability and motivation to get there quickly.
Enough technical affinity to be interested in the manufacture and testing of fabrics, and the curiosity to go further. Previous experience in textiles or product development is a strong asset.
Autonomous, structured and detail-oriented; fluent English; based in Brussels or able to settle there.
Courses we welcome: textile or materials, product development or engineering, or a quantitative/commercial sector with a real interest in the technical aspect.
A pleasure to have: experience with bamboo viscose or other sustainable bedding, European textile compliance and labelling.
Why apply?
True ownership in a growing, mission-driven company.
A central role in building the brand — you'll help us differentiate ourselves by leading with quality, innovative and sustainable fabrics.
A small collaborative team in Brussels (Etterbeek) with real autonomy and ownership
Competitive salary, bonuses, meal vouchers, team events...
