A Nurse (m/f/x)

As part of a full-time or part-time permanent contract (min 80%)

 

What does the job consist of?

You will work with patients, their relatives and care teams to improve the quality of life of patients with a serious illness or at the end of life.

You support patients and their relatives

You will ensure that you offer comprehensive care, focused on the patient's needs and respect for his or her life project.

In concrete terms, you:

·      Accompany patients throughout their care journey;

·      Participate in the assessment and management of symptoms of discomfort (pain, dyspnea, nausea, anxiety, etc.) in order to improve their quality of life;

·      Support, inform and accompany relatives in the various stages of care;

·      Rephrase and clarify medical information after difficult announcements to promote understanding and decision-making.

Your role goes beyond individual support: you actively participate in the continuous improvement of practices. Your education

·      You are in possession of a Bachelor's degree (or diploma) in Nursing, stamped and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant.

·      This is an asset if you have completed training in palliative care or oncology.

Your experience and knowledge

·      You have experience with patients at the end of life.

·      You have a good knowledge of Dutch: You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues.

·      Your computer knowledge allows you to ensure optimal follow-up of files.

·      You place the human being at the center of your practices. You show great empathy, quickly establish a relationship of trust with patients, relatives and colleagues, while keeping the right professional distance.

·      You communicate with tact and confidence. You adapt your communication to each interlocutor, know how to approach sensitive situations with kindness, reformulate complex information and support the teams in their reflections.

·      You like to pass on your expertise. As a teacher, you take pleasure in training, advising and raising awareness among the teams in order to develop an early palliative approach and harmonised care.

·      You keep your cool in emotionally difficult situations. You take a step back, manage your emotions professionally and provide reassuring support to both patients and families.

·      You work independently while cultivating collaboration. You effectively organize your priorities, take initiatives and work in close consultation with the many stakeholders involved in the patient journey.

·      You are rigorous and reliable. You will respect procedures, hygiene and safety rules, guarantee the confidentiality of information and ensure an irreproachable quality of care.

·      You are continuously developing your knowledge. Curious and proactive, you will ensure professional monitoring and actively participate in the development of good practices in palliative care.

What do we offer you?

·      Type of contract: Permanent contract

·      Working time: 100% (38h/week)

·      Opening hours: Variable + 1 weekend out of 2.

·      Start date: September 1, 2026

Remuneration on the basis of the IFIC scales (category 14), with resumption of seniority:

·      Min: 3379,86€ (index: 2.1647)

·      Max: 5339,19€ (index 2.1647)
