For the Laboratory,

An Administrative Assistant (m/f/x)

Under a 1-year half-time fixed-term contract (50%)

 

What the job consists of

As an administrative assistant in the laboratory, your missions will include:

  • Welcoming patients to our collection centres
  • Verify and control patient data
  • Encode clinical biology requests into the computer system (GLIMS)

Your manager, your team and your environment

  • You will be mentored by Rim Rzem (Technical Coordinator)
  • Your manager will be Dr. Ingrid Beukinga
  • The laboratory team works on the sites of Joseph Bracops, Molière Longchamp and Etterbeek-Ixelles. You will be a relay on the Etterbeek-Baron Lambert site and will work at the reception of our hospitals. Two samplers also work at the collection centre on the same site as you
  • In order to allow you to take up your position quickly and serenely, a one-week training course is planned at the start of your position

Let's talk about you

Your training : You have an Upper Secondary Education Certificate

Your experiences and knowledge

  • Experience in receiving patients in healthcare institutions : You ideally have professional experience in caring for patients in a medical home, a doctor's office, a polyclinic, a hospital or an equivalent structure
  • Fluency in English (minimum intermediate level essential): You are comfortable communicating in English, as your audience is mainly composed of patients who speak English
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch

  • Interpersonal skills: Thanks to your listening skills and your ability to create a quality contact, you establish a climate of trust with patients
  • Professional attitude : You demonstrate a serious, reassuring and reliable attitude, contributing to a positive and credible image of our hospitals
  • Management of sensitive situations: You remain calm and control your emotions in order to manage delicate situations with tact, patience and respect. You favor de-escalation and contribute to maintaining a serene and professional welcome
  • Communication: You adapt your communication to the specific needs of each patient
  • Autonomy: You manage your activities independently and take the necessary initiatives in compliance with procedures
  • Rigor : You carefully check patient data to ensure the accuracy of the information and avoid errors
  • Discretion : You respect confidentiality, including of patient data, and act with integrity

Remuneration on the basis of the scales applied with resumption of the seniority useful to the function:

  • Min €2560.70 gross (index: 2.1647)
  • Max: 3876,30€ gross (index: 2,1647)
