A Nurse (m/f/x)

For a full-time or part-time (80%) open-ended contract

What does the job involve?

As a geriatric nurse, you provide comprehensive nursing care. You show patience and empathy in order to inform and support patients and their loved ones. You know how to adapt to all situations and manage emergencies. You are able to apply appropriate communication techniques (e.g., in case of dementia). You have good physical fitness and master handling and ergonomic techniques. You collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal follow-up.

Your mission is to maintain, improve, or restore the health and well-being of geriatric patients and increase their autonomy.

·       Use equipment and devices specific to the geriatrics department (prostheses, orthoses, replacement material);

·       Ensure the well-being of patients (comfort, hygiene, nutrition, etc.);

·       Integrate the notion of Quality of Life into your approach to the elderly person.

How about we talk about you?

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (graduat) endorsed and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant, and having a legal specialization title in geriatrics is a plus. If you hold a nursing brevet and have experience in geriatrics, you are also welcome. You are looking for a first experience or a new experience. You wish to work in a local hospital where all collaborators are dedicated to serving life with passion, benevolence, and respect. People are at the center of your concerns.

You have an affinity for geriatrics and enjoy following up beyond the hospital (nursing home, home care, etc.).

You are looking for full-time work (or at least 30h24) where you work 5 days/week (Monday to Sunday) with hours between 7:00 AM and 8:30 PM (+ night shifts).

You are proficient in French and have a good knowledge of the second national language.

Your IT skills allow you to ensure optimal file follow-up.
