Nurse for the neuro-orthopaediatric and general paediatrics ward - U81 (M/F/X)
Job description
🧸 A paediatric ward, three units, one versatile team
Join a paediatric ward that brings together several complementary sectors: neuropaediatrics, general paediatrics and a soon-to-open paediatric day hospital. A diverse environment where care varies according to specialties, the children's ages and their needs.
Three complementary units:
🧠 Neuro-orthopaediatrics: a sector dedicated to the care of children with various neurological and orthopaedic conditions.
🩺 General paediatrics: a sector welcoming children with varied profiles and needs, requiring paediatric care adapted to their situation.
🏥 Paediatric day hospital: a new sector in preparation, intended for daytime paediatric care.
💉 Varied nursing practice, between technical skill and versatility
Within this ward, versatility is an integral part of how the team operates. You will be required to intervene in the different units, depending on the organisation of the service and care needs. This diversity will allow you to apply your nursing skills in several paediatric contexts and adapt to various clinical situations.
Your practice may notably include technical care such as:
- Gastrostomies
- Nasogastric tubes
- EVD (external ventricular drains) 💉
- Infusions (peripheral lines, PICC lines, central lines, PAC) and blood tests
- Wound care and complex dressings (scoliosis, brain surgeries with Hippocrates cap…)
- Various casts , including thoraco-bi-hip-spica casts 🦴
- PH-metry and impedance testing
- Care under MEOPA (Noxytosil / laughing gas)
- Care of tracheostomies
🤝 You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team (doctors, healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, reference nurses, paediatric entertainers…) to ensure care adapted to each child. The goal: to build a team capable of sharing its skills, adapting to the specificities of each unit and maintaining a consistent quality of care across the entire ward.
An environment where paediatrics is expressed in all its diversity, between technical care, clinical adaptation and teamwork. ✨
