Functional Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions at Fost Plus. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who can analyze business processes, define functional requirements, and work closely with development teams to ensure successful system implementations.

👉 Your responsibilities:

1. Requirements Analysis & Documentation

   1. Analyze and document detailed functional requirements, ensuring full alignment with business objectives

   2. Creating comprehensive functional specifications, use cases (or user stories) and process flow diagrams

   3. Defining system behavior, business rules and functional workflows

   4. Drafting Request for Proposals (RFPs) and supporting the selection of external suppliers and solutions

   5. Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with suppliers and following up on contractual agreements

2. System Analysis & Testing

   1. Analyzing existing systems and applications to identify opportunities for improvement

   2. Actively collaborate with other analysts, architects and the Cloud & Security team to align solutions with broader IT needs

   3. Design and execution of functional test scenarios and acceptance criteria

   4. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage defect resolution

3. Stakeholder cooperation & support

   1. Proactively keep in touch with the business to stay on top of the latest developments

   2. Facilitation of requirements workshops and functional design sessions

   3. Acting as a liaison between end users, developers, and technical teams

   4. Supervising the transition to production (go-live) and ensuring a smooth transfer of knowledge to the Service Desk

   5. Acting as second-line support for deployed solutions

•  Break down complex problems into manageable elements and identify their root causes.

• Maintain accurate documentation while keeping a big-picture view.

• Translate technical concepts to make them understandable for business teams, and vice versa.

• Find creative solutions balancing business needs and technical constraints.

• Build consensus among stakeholders with sometimes divergent priorities.

• Work autonomously and responsibly while showing flexibility in the face of change.

🚀 Expertise :

• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.

• Ideally possess at least 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or in a similar role.

• Have experience and/or a certification in modeling methodologies such as BPMN, UML, or equivalents.

• Be proficient in Dutch and French with a good knowledge of English, particularly for technical documentation.

• Have a solid understanding of methodologies and best practices in functional analysis.

• Possess knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and system integration concepts.

• Have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies as well as Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Jira.
