 Today, we are looking for an Operations And Close Specialist to join our team in Brussels.

 How will you make a difference

 You will contribute to reporting, accounting and taxation within the local finance team. You will report to the local finance officer.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You manage the monitoring and execution of the invoicing process.

• You process bank statements and perform the necessary reconciliations.

• You will be responsible for processing and declaring VAT and customer taxation (withholding tax).

• You will assist the Finance team of the Belgian subsidiary during the monthly closing (IFRS and BE GAAP) and in the preparation of reports for the head office and the regulator.

• You actively contribute to the maintenance and improvement of internal processes and procedures.

• You will support internal projects relating to Finance and Taxation.

• You are responsible for the effective and efficient execution of all financial and administrative actions in accordance with the applicable legal requirements (accounting, taxation and reporting).

To succeed in this position:

• You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting & Taxation, or equivalent, and preferably a first professional experience in a similar position.

• Experience/Knowledge of IFRS is an asset.

• You have a good command of MS Office and an excellent knowledge of Excel.

• You work in a precise, structured and efficient manner. You like to work with numbers and you go the extra mile to understand them, analyze them, ask the right questions and present analyses.

• Experience in the banking sector is a plus.

• You have an affinity for sustainable development in general and sustainable banking in particular.

• You have a good knowledge of French or Dutch and English.

• You work in a small structure, so team spirit and social skills are essential.
