Second Workshop
Job description
For more than 190 years, Maison Dandoy has been celebrating simple pleasures through biscuits rich in flavour and generous in character, made in an artisanal way in our Brussels workshops.
Founded in 1829, we cultivate this know-how with passion while developing it through new ideas and beautiful projects.
To strengthen our production team, we are looking for a Workshop Assistant.
As a workshop assistant, you play a key role in the organization and management of production. You work closely with Guillaume, our Production Leader, to ensure planning, raw material availability, coding quality and performance monitoring, while remaining connected to the reality on the ground.
Main responsibilities:
1) Planning
Build and update the weekly production schedule in collaboration with the Production Leader.
Develop the daily schedule (production and packaging), integrating constraints (capacities, teams, raw materials, deadlines, maintenance, stocks).
Implement an adapted management logic (e.g. Kanban in the low season, prioritization according to stocks and needs).
Anticipate risks (breakages, delays, overloads) and propose solutions.
2) Orders & Inventory Management
Place raw material orders according to forecasts and stock levels to avoid stock-outs.
Follow up on deviations (delays, non-conformities, errors) and manage the operational relationship with suppliers, with escalation if necessary.
Guarantee the reliability of the stock of raw materials (receipt, batches, traceability) and participate in an inventory routine (frequency, method, corrections).
3) Data & Tools
Check the quality of Odoo encodings (production, packaging, stock movements) and correct discrepancies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data and process quality.
Participate in the creation and improvement of planning tools (dashboards, templates, routines, indicators).
4) Performance monitoring & indicators
Calculate and monitor indicators on a daily basis (production, packaging, waste, reliability of planning vs. realized).
Feed the daily TOP 15 (indicators, field feedback, action plan) and ensure the continuity of information.
5) Workshop support and operational continuity
Knowing the processes and being able to get your hands dirty in the workshop when necessary.
Support the Production Leader in supervising the team and respecting standards (manufacturing process, HACCP, safety).
Be attentive to gaps and opportunities for improvement, and report them in a structured way.
To be able to replace the Production Leader in case of absence.
