👉 Your mission
HIS' Finance Department is responsible for supporting the strategy for the proper functioning and development of the hospital by guaranteeing the financial, accounting and budgetary management and invoicing of the institution, by establishing decision-making tools and by controlling the profitability and solvency of the institution.
💼 Your role
You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and be part of the Management Committee. You are also a permanent guest member of the Board of Directors.
✅ As Chief Financial Officer, you define the strategic financial vision of the hospital and ensure the processes related to its financial management:
Budget development and monitoring: you will prepare, coordinate and manage the institution's annual budget, while supervising its implementation and monitoring.
Transmission of financial information : You prepare and transmit relevant financial information to internal (Chief Executive Officer, Strategic and Budget Committee, Board of Directors) and external (IRIS supervisory authority, FPS Public Health, banks, etc.) stakeholders according to the prescribed procedures and formats.
Collaboration with the medical profession: You work closely with the medical teams regarding their remuneration, the production and transmission of financial data (dashboards, statistics, etc.).
Development and strategy of the institution :
You will actively participate in the development of the hospital's strategic plan and the application of the institution's strategic orientations.
You develop profitability simulations and financial risk analyses to help management make informed decisions about various projects.
You provide economic and financial information: you provide the General Management and other departments with all the data necessary to facilitate strategic decision-making and optimise the economic management of the establishment.
You will regularly present reporting tables according to the different projects.
You ensure the proper management of the institution's funding both for current operating costs and to finance the investments necessary for the development of HIS' missions.
You anticipate and manage investments: you identify the investments necessary for the development of the hospital and look for new sources of financing to ensure their realization.
You will set up mechanisms to analyse and control costs within the hospital, in particular through the analysis of process costs (in particular the patient cost), in order to better anticipate the evolution of hospital financing.
You ensure compliance and efficiency in financial processes. You ensure compliance with standards and legal requirements while optimizing internal processes.
✅ As a Member of the Management Committee, you are a strategic player in organizational changes within HIS :
You will participate in the development and implementation of the hospital's financial policy in accordance with the institution's overall strategic objectives and development projects.
You will be in charge of monitoring certain cross-functional strategic projects by developing synergies and areas of collaboration.
You will actively participate in monitoring the effects of changes in nomenclature and the reform of the hospital landscape and their impact on hospital financing.
You represent the hospital to external authorities and organisations and build an effective network of strategic partners.
You will actively participate in ongoing strategic projects , including the consortium project with the CHU St Pierre.
✅ As a manager, you supervise and support your teams :
You will supervise and coordinate a team of about 40 full-time equivalents, divided into 3 departments :
The accounting department supervised by a department head.
The patient's administrative management department (pricing/billing and litigation) supervised by a department head.
The management control department.
You are responsible for the distribution of tasks, delegation, as well as the evaluation of team results, ensuring smooth and consistent collaboration with other departments in the hospital.
You will motivate, support and evaluate the individual and collective skills of your department heads, setting clear objectives.
You will identify training needs and participate in the development of skills.
You will participate in the integration of new employees.
You will ensure the follow-up and implementation of change management within the department.
You support teams in organizational changes by actively involving them in projects.
You position yourself as a " leader coach " within your department and you unite your employees around strategic projects.
Profile
The CFO we are looking for must be a strategic leader, capable of leading a team and steering all of the hospital's financial challenges. We are looking for a profile with proven experience in a similar position.
🎓 Your training :
You have a Master's degree in the field of finance (economics, finance,...)
🔎 Your experience and knowledge:
5-10 years of experience in a financial leadership position, ideally in a hospital or public sector environment.
Experience in financial and budget management.
Experience in multi-project management and change management .
Excellent proficiency in financial management tools as well as Excel, Word,... 💻
Proven skills in financial analysis, cash management and cost optimization.
Good knowledge of internal control mechanisms.
Strong team management and leadership skills.
Previous experience in financial business intelligence management or data warehouse management is an asset.
A good knowledge of the regulatory and financial issues specific to the hospital and public sector.
An active knowledge of the second national language.
