Medico-Technical Secretary – Pathological Anatomy Specialty: A Key Role at the Heart of Diagnosis 🩺

Join a dynamic team and actively contribute to the smooth running of the pathological anatomy department!

As a medico-technical secretary, you will be a real administrative and organizational pillar, guaranteeing the fluidity of the follow-up of samples and communication between the different actors of the pathological anatomy department.

👉 Your main missions:

  • Sample management : You will be responsible for the encoding, monitoring and organization of samples from consultations and the operating room. Part of your work will be done in direct collaboration with technologists and doctors in the macroscopy room.

  • Administrative support and communication : You will be in charge of typing and sending letters, as well as managing calls and emails from the department. 💻

  • Coordination and organization : You play a key role in planning meetings, communicating with external laboratories and following up on requests for results.

  • Innovation and evolution : You will become familiar with Beaker, the new software for laboratories, and support the medical team in their daily administrative tasks.

 This position requires strong emotional resilience and adaptability. As a medical-technical secretary – pathological anatomy specialty, you will regularly be required to work in the macroscopy room, as close as possible to the medical teams.

  • You will be in direct contact with biological samples and surgical specimens

  • Your role will require you to work closely with technologists and pathologists, requiring great rigour and strict compliance with hygiene and safety protocols.

Profile

🎓 Qualifications and experience required

  • You have a degree in medical secretarial work or significant experience in this field.

  • You have excellent knowledge of human anatomy, allowing you to interact effectively with medical staff.

🎯 Essential Skills

  • You have a perfect command of typing and are comfortable with medical terminology.

  • Your spelling is impeccable, guaranteeing accurate and professional written communication.

  • You know how to manage several tasks simultaneously while maintaining a rigorous organization.

  • You are a true team player, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • You speak a second language (Dutch), which is a real plus in our hospital environment.
