Aurélie Deherve & Géraldine Dantin - Team4Job - 6 months to transform a career
I welcome a complementary and inspiring duo to the microphone of Donne le Rythme: Aurélie Deherve and Géraldine Dantin, founders of Team4Job.
A Belgian, a Frenchwoman. One that goes for it, one that tempers. One that comes from the private sector, one that comes from the social sector. This mixture works wonderfully and their project proves it!
Together, they launched Team4Job, an initiative that builds bridges between job seekers and the professional world through mentoring.
The principle? Form pairs: a job seeker is accompanied by a volunteer mentor for 6 months to find a job, but above all to regain self-confidence and break isolation.
And it works!
60% of participants find a job within 6 months.
77% after one year.
The impact can therefore manifest itself long after the program, by proving that the trust and connections created change trajectories in a lasting way.
In this episode, we explore:
The realities of the job market in Brussels: 15% unemployment, with particularly affected groups such as young people, the long-term unemployed and people of foreign origin.
The obstacles faced by job seekers: social isolation, lack of network, loss of trust, and disconnection from companies.
Solutions and initiatives like Team4Job and others : they try to paint a nuanced picture of a complex problem with multiple causes. So don't expect ready-made answers.
Their entrepreneurial journey and their duo: between the challenges of setting up such a structure, motherhood, and learning about their complementarity as partners.
Whether you are looking for a job, an employee, an entrepreneur, or simply curious to know more about the challenges and solutions of the job market, this episode is for you.
Team4Job aims to build bridges and show us that human impact can transform much more than a resume.
That's also my goal with this episode.
Hi and welcome to Donne le Rythme, the podcast about Belgian entrepreneurship.
I am Thimothée Remy, a professional coach, and I support those who want to start as a freelancer or move forward more serenely in their entrepreneurial project.
With this podcast, I create a space to get to the heart of the subjects. Through my episodes, you will discover the journeys, the successes but also the struggles of my guests. And above all, you will understand how they actually launched their business.
Over the course of the conversations, they really open up, without filter. In any case, that's still my goal!
Belgium is full of entrepreneurs, inspiring talents that I can't wait to introduce to you.
Thank you for listening and all you have to do is set the pace!
