Job description

Guarantee performance, safety, quality of service and the proper functioning of operations, in line with the company's values and strategy.

1. Supervision and animation of the team

  • Supervise the constantly evolving operational teams (area managers, coordinators, operators).

  • Directly supervise the area managers: set their objectives, monitor their management and give them structured feedback.

  • Ensure the 2nd line supervision of the operators (the daily management remaining with the area manager): recruitment and integration, evaluations, formal/disciplinary reframing and sanctions, management of absences and end of contracts.

  • Manage the training and skills development of the teams; identify potential and support developments.

  • Plan and distribute tasks according to priorities and flows; arbitrate resources and priorities between zones (reinforcements during a peak).

  • Validate and arbitrate leave schedules between zones.

  • Monitor individual and collective performance.

  • Promote cohesion, communication and motivation; manage conflicts that the zone manager cannot resolve alone and ensure the social climate.

  • Manage emergencies and unforeseen events (absences, volume peaks) with the Administrative & Planning Coordinator.

2. Logistics Operations Monitoring

  • Control compliance with procedures for receiving, storing, preparing and shipping (quality and freshness of products).

  • Guarantee the reliability of inventories, traceability and good stock rotation (short flows).

  • Monitor performance indicators (productivity, error rate, compliance with deadlines).

  • Propose corrective actions in the event of deviations.

3. Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE)

  • Ensure compliance with safety instructions and quality standards.

  • Train and raise awareness among teams in good practices (PPE, handling, cleanliness, gestures and postures).

  • Identify and prevent occupational risks.

  • Participate in internal and external audits.

4. Continuous improvement

  • Identify operational malfunctions and propose optimization solutions.

  • Deploy new tools or processes (5S, Kaizen).

  • Contribute to the reduction of logistics costs, waste and the improvement of inventory turnover.

5. Communication & Reporting

  • Ensure the transmission of information between the field and the Executive Committee (Comex).

  • Write activity reports (dashboards, KPIs, incidents, proposals for improvement).

  • Participate in coordination meetings with other departments.

6. Decision, Arbitration & Escalation

  • Single tranche: planning and distribution of teams, arbitration of priorities between zones, operational corrective actions, management of first-level conflicts.

  • Escalation to the Logistics Manager: strategic decisions, recruitment/sanctions, investments, major incidents (security, critical breakdown, unfavorable audit).

7. Indicators of success

  • Overall warehouse performance: productivity and on-time delivery across all areas.

  • Inventory reliability and error rates decreased.

  • Safety: zero preventable accidents, audit compliance.

  • Healthy social climate and autonomous zone teams and skills development.

8. Skills & Profile

  • Confirmed leadership: supervision of managers and operators.

  • Transversal vision of logistics flows and culture of continuous improvement.

  • Sense of safety and quality; ability to arbitrate between areas under constraint.

  • Upward and downward communication (Comex field ↔).

Profile

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or warehouse management.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing large teams (30 to 100 employees depending on the size of the site).

  • Experience in middle management with supervision of managers (area managers, team leaders).

  • Experience in the food, FMCG, retail, e-commerce or distribution sector is a real asset.

  • Accustomed to working in high-speed environments, with peaks in activity and deadline constraints.

Why apply?
