A Sterilization Nurse (m/f/x)

Under a permanent contract, full-time

What does the job involve?

As a sterilization nurse, you participate in the various tasks related to the transport, pre-disinfection, cleaning, disinfection, packaging, and sterilization of medical-surgical devices. You are precise and rigorous in applying procedures and hygiene rules. Thanks to your mastery of processes, you choose the applicable sterilization method and ensure the proper use of the various equipment. You are stress-resistant and do not hesitate to take appropriate measures to guarantee the proper functioning of the equipment. You work autonomously yet within a team, you appreciate collaboration, and you communicate easily. Furthermore, you ensure the continuous training of sterilization assistants. Your meticulousness allows you to detect anomalies and report them to the head nurse. Thanks to your analytical and synthesis skills, you participate in improving procedures. You develop and monitor the traceability of devices.

• Respect and enforce hygiene and staff protection measures when handling medical-surgical devices;
• Supervise the packaging of clean and disinfected medical devices as well as the quality of sterilized products;
• Ensure the management of the surgical instrument inventory in collaboration with various manufacturers and service providers.

What about you?

Your education

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (graduat) or a nursing patent endorsed and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant,
• You have completed or are currently completing a specialization in sterilization.

Your experience and knowledge

• you have experience in the field of sterilization or in the operating theater and you are looking for a new experience.  
• You have an affinity for sterilization and you enjoy continuous learning.
• You are proficient in French and have a good knowledge of the second national language.
•  Your IT skills enable you to ensure optimal file management. 

You are looking for a full-time job working 5 days a week (Monday to Sunday) with shifts between 7:00 AM and 8:30 PM (+ night shifts).
