Energy Efficiency Advisor (f/m/x)
Job description
Bru-Share is a Brussels-based cross-sector employers' association active in the non-profit sector. Our mission is to strengthen associations in the Brussels social profit sector by providing them with concrete human and administrative support, via pooled workers.
To do this, Bru-Share recruits workers who are experts in different fields, and makes them available to its member non-profit organisations. Our teams share their working time between different structures active in the Brussels non-profit sector (health promotion, health, disability, social services, social cohesion, socio-professional integration, sheltered housing, guidance centres, reception homes, rest homes, etc.).
Created in 2024, Bru-Share is taking a new step in the deployment of support to its members with the creation of a new department : Energy and Buildings. Our goal is to enable our member associations to address the many current challenges related to the rational use of energy, the energy performance of their buildings and the production of renewable energy. To do this, Bru-Share wants to hire a duo of energy efficiency advisors.
Your work context
You put your expertise at the service of associations with a strong societal impact that provide essential services to the Brussels population.
Your main objective is to advise our member associations on taking measures to improve the energy performance of their buildings ; You will monitor them while installing sustainable practices that take into account their reality on the ground.
What you'll do
You will speak a series of days a year with several member associations, with a long-term collaboration approach.
You will carry out energy diagnostics of buildings (micro, small and medium-sized associations) including a site visit, the formulation of recommendations and the implementation of a roadmap staggered over time.
You will carry out diagnostics of heating and ventilation installations (regulation, design, etc.) and adjust them with a view to saving energy. You follow up on them.
You define the areas for improving the energy performance of buildings by favouring the use and production of renewable energy when justified from a technical and economic point of view.
You will support member associations upstream of the implementation of energy renovation work. You advise and review the specifications of the works, in compliance with the legislation on public procurement, and support the monitoring at the administrative level and the execution of the works.
You will identify funding opportunities to improve the energy performance of buildings, advise and support associations in carrying out the procedures to obtain these aids.
You raise awareness and support associations in monitoring their energy consumption and you make their staff aware of its rational use.
You advise and support the management of contracts relating to the supply of energy (water, gas, electricity, oil, etc.) to associations.
You will ensure that you are continuously (informed) about the evolution of energy renovation techniques and regulations relating to the energy performance of buildings.
You contribute to strengthening the visibility of the department by meeting and raising awareness among other non-profit organisations curious about the possibilities of support.
