Job description

Your role is to develop and manage the communication strategy as well as to implement the communication actions necessary to achieve the visibility (teaching and research) and recruitment objectives of the École Polytechnique de Bruxelles (EPB). The role of the EPB is to train the civil engineers and bioengineers of tomorrow.

 Your missions as Communication Manager :

1 - Development, implementation and management of the communication strategy (40%)

Participate alongside the decanal team in the definition of a faculty communication strategy:

  • Implementation of the communication strategy

  • Coordination of the various communication actions within the Dean's Office

  • Organization of communication campaigns

  • Critical evaluation of communication actions and development of future actions

2 - " Day to day " communication (30%)

Management or coordination of the various communication actions:

  • Regular publication on social networks, updating and animation of websites (including writing articles)

  • Internal communication and management of the faculty magazine

  • Monitoring of all written communication media

  • Video making

3 - Events (30%)

  • Organization and coordination of faculty events

  • Accompaniment and promotion of faculty activities aimed at increasing its influence


  • Hold a master's degree recognised by the FWB, in information, communication, or a related field, or have successfully completed the " ULB Accession Pathway".

  • Persons with a diploma that does not emanate from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation will have to obtain an equivalence from the FWB (

  • Proof of useful professional experience in a similar position of 3 to 5 years is desired.

  • Experience in audiovisual tools is required.

  • Having graphic design skills is a real asset.

Specific knowledge and skills:

  • Perfect command of French and very good knowledge of English (C1).

  • Excellent writing skills and verbal fluency.

  • Mastery of community animation on social networks.

  • Project management.

  • Proficiency in CMS management and publication scheduling tools.

  • Proficiency in the Adobe suite (InDesign, Premiere and Photoshop, ...) as well as Microsoft 365 (Word, Powerpoint, Teams, OndeDrive, ...).

  • Proactivity, creativity and adaptability.

  • Sense of organization and responsibility.

  • Ability to interact with the various departments of the Faculty and the University.

  • Ability to unite a team around an event or an action plan.

  • Be customer-oriented, solution-oriented, and flexible.

  • Curiosity, knowledge and interest in logistics and new events.

Conduct of interviews
