Job description

Today, we are looking for an Operational Expertise Team Leader to join our Brussels team for a 5-month contract.

As the Operations Expertise team leader at TBBE (Triodos Bank Belgium), you are responsible for providing excellent client services related to account openings and changes, payments, investments, inheritances, foreclosures. You lead the delivery and quality improvement of operational activities within your team.

How will you make a difference

  • Lead a team responsible for the timely and compliant execution of all transactions with clients.

  • Ensure that the team is operationally effective, both in terms of capabilities and skills.

  • In collaboration with the TBBE Customer Service Manager, monitor KPIs, closely monitor whether these objectives are being met, and take action if necessary.

  • Provide management insights into the operational performance of teams.

  • Implement new projects within the team to make it more efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Building and Leadership: Create a collaborative and highly effective team environment with customer focus.

  • Liaise with other departments involved in customer service, such as sales teams and the Know Your Customer & Financial Crime department.

  • Support team members in the processing and evaluation of complex client requests.

  • Performance Management : Control, evaluate, and improve performance indicators within the team.

  • Continuous improvement program : Ownership and commitment to achieving the goals of the continuous continuous improvement program of operations, based on data-driven insights. Implement identified improvements in a timely and effective manner within the operational organization.

  • Risk and Compliance : Oversee compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies to ensure the company remains under control and compliant.

  • Ensure the execution of front-line risk tasks (e.g., key control tests).

  • You have an aptitude for people management and facilitation skills. Previous management experience is not required.

  • You have an affinity with operational teams and/or you are able to integrate quickly into the operational expertise environment.

  • You are able to motivate team members to achieve goals, encourage personal and professional development, conduct FLOW dialogues, and coach direct reports to reach their full potential.

  • You ideally have excellent communication skills in English, Dutch and French.

The team

The TBBE operational expertise team has 12 FTEs. As a team leader, you will report to the TBBE Customer Service Manager.
