Job description

  • You are responsible for a portfolio of companies, clients of Triodos Belgium, that are considered "unlikely to pay" or "defaulted".

  • Your dual mission is to bring the client and their business back into a sustainable going concern situation and to minimize losses for the bank. Therefore, if there are realistic prospects of solving the client's financial difficulties, your mission is to analyze them, negotiate with the client, implement a concrete action plan and follow up on it. Conversely, when the situation cannot/no longer be resolved, you will terminate the loans and are tasked with maximising recovery for Triodos Bank.

  • You are therefore part of Triodos Belgium's Credit Risk department.

  • In line with Triodos' values, you communicate with all parties involved in a smooth, transparent and comprehensive manner throughout the duration of your intervention. Your interlocutors are varied: the client, the relationship manager and the credit committee of course, but also the client's other banks, the curator, the legal advisor, the notary, the real estate broker and other third parties such as investors or new shareholders.

Profile

  • You are in possession of a university degree (preferably with a legal or economic orientation),

  • You assess financial and legal issues independently,

  • You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in relationship management or credit analysis for an SME, corporate or non-commercial type of clientele, OR you have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a lawyer in a field related to pre-litigation or litigation for an SME, corporate or non-commercial type of clientele,

  • You are fluent in French, Dutch and English,

  • You are resistant to stress and are able to work independently within a team,

  • You are assertive,

  • You are able to conduct independent negotiations with external parties,

  • Your structured mind, precision, and efficiency allow you to process a lot of information.
