Job description

Our credit expertise team within the Business Banking department is looking for an associate for the administrative management of a portfolio of high-impact business loans.

Triodos Bank Belgium's Business Banking department has 40 colleagues, including 12 colleagues who work in the sales team for our business clients in the following areas: project finance, renewable energy, healthcare, art and culture, small and medium-sized enterprises, Triodos' ethical investment products and sustainable real estate. This team is solely focused on generating new operations that have a positive impact on society.

It is supported by a Middle Office made up of a dozen colleagues who provide support to the sales team. This support takes the form in a variety of ways: analysis of files and simple loan proposals, monitoring of withdrawals from appropriations, sectoral analyses, etc.

Finally, the Loan Administration team is responsible for the administrative follow-up of all business loans granted by Triodos Bank, forming the backbone of the Business Banking department. The vacancy is within this last team, made up of a dozen people with various profiles.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Credit Administrator:

  • You will draft credit agreements of varying complexity, in close collaboration with the sales teams.

  • You ensure that the agreed guarantees are put in place, by being in regular contact with external partners such as notarial offices, subsidizing authorities or regional guarantee funds.

  • You are responsible for the encoding and management of credit data and collateral in our banking systems. Throughout the life of the loan, you will carry out a wide range of tasks: monitoring direct debits, controlling payments, rate renewals, drafting amendments, etc.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the calculation and billing of commissions and other fees.

  • You draw up different types of certificates (auditor's certificate, bank declarations, tax certificates, etc.) for external parties.

  • You participate in the collection and transmission of data to the National Bank of Belgium.

  • You ensure that all credit procedures and work instructions are applied correctly.

  • Through your creativity, flexibility and proactivity, you contribute to the improvement of our internal procedures and working methods.

  • In all your tasks, you will work hand in hand with the sales departments, the middle office and the in-house legal department. Smooth and transparent communication is therefore a prerequisite.


  • You have a bachelor's degree, a master's degree or equivalent professional experience in addition.

  • Experience in the administrative management of loans is an undeniable asset. However, a personalized training path will allow you to gradually develop the knowledge necessary for the position.

  • You have an excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and a good knowledge of the second national language and English.

  • You work precisely, organized and efficiently.

  • You are communicative, collegial and a good team player.

  • You have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

  • You think proactively, resist stress, and plan ahead to meet deadlines.
