Today, we are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Brussels!

👉 How will you make a difference

You are an experienced finance professional willing to grow the Finance team in Belgium, support the good financial performance of the Triodos branch in Belgium.

• You are a committed member of the Finance team of Triodos Bank Belgium and are primarily responsible for all applicable accounting procedures: you take care of the administration of Triodos Bank Belgium in all its aspects

• You will contribute to all external reporting at Triodos Bank Belgium and assist the Head of Finance in communicating with external stakeholders such as the Belgian regulator, the tax authorities and the external accountant

• You have in-depth knowledge not only of accounting procedures, but also of other procedures that are important to the CFO, such as tax procedures

• You enjoy supporting other team members and your team members will support you. In addition, you train them in the field

• You are eager to learn and like to take initiative to optimize the procedures within your reach or to participate in projects.

📝 You also have the following skills:

• A bachelor's degree in finance/financial accounting or a comparable field and good understanding of IFRS and Belgian GAAP.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in the financial sector, e.g. as a (senior) financial accountant in a medium to large organization.

• Great sense of responsibility, ability to cope with fluctuating pressure at work and flexibility to support colleagues.

• Good knowledge of Excel, Exact, Abacus, and/or Tagetik is an asset.

• Given the working environment, fluency in Dutch or French and English is a must.

The Finance Belgium team, consisting of 4 colleagues, is an integral part of the Group Finance & Reporting function. You will report to the Head of Finance at Triodos Bank Belgium.
