We are looking for a PHP Software Engineer to join our IT team at our headquarters in Brussels.

Your mission

Optimy is looking for a talented PHP software engineer who is interested in joining our company. As a member of the IT Operations Team, you will be at the center of various departments and teams to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the business.

Software & Process Optimization

You will work on improving our IT operations, processes and tools.
In the long run, depending on your growth, you will establish yourself in a more senior role:

  • Participate in the creation of new processes and technical features to improve product reliability and performance

  • Maintain and improve the Continuous Delivery workflow designed to smoothly send code and improvements in production as often as possible

  • Work on other long-term projects such as the centralization of data within 3 different infrastructures (Europe, Canada and USA) etc.

  • Participate in the creation or updating of Custom developments

Day-to-day support 

You're not afraid to take on more redundant tasks, with a focus on improving your day-to-day tasks. You'll be at the center of improving our support tools and creating an environment where today's tasks can be done tomorrow by less technical or experienced profiles.

  • Quickly analyze and validate technical incidents received through our ticketing system (Jira)

  • Adapting and improving the solution based on the day-to-day problems encountered by the customers

  • Be the point of contact within the company to answer technical questions related to the product and infrastructure 

  • Improving our day-to-day support tools to enable 1st line support to handle requests and ultimately reduce the number of requests reaching our IT operations


  • You have a background in software engineering or related fields with experience.

  • You are a passionate IT with a developer background, along with a strong affinity with infrastructure

  • Knowledge of PHP, SQL, and Docker is a must

  • Experience with ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, AWS is a plus

  • You have basic knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Delivery

  • You are a problem solver and like to take on new challenges

  • You have a good knowledge of English

  • You have an EU citizenship or a valid Belgian work permit
