Your Mission

Mekanika is currently present primarily through inbound leads. As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be the face of Mekanika in the field. Your role requires the ability to identify, approach, and convince our priority targets - woodworkers, schools, makerspaces - across France and Belgium. You will build a solid direct sales pipeline, represent our brand at professional trade shows, and develop strategic partnerships to accelerate our growth.

A key part of this role will be to make active prospecting a scalable sales channel for Mekanika, complementing our inbound activities, and positioning our presence at all major industry events.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Business Development: actively identify and approach priority targets in our key markets (France and Belgium).

  • Sales Pipeline Management: build and manage a solid sales pipeline in Pipedrive, ensuring rigorous opportunity tracking and commercial data encoding.

  • Field Representation: represent Mekanika at professional trade shows, industry events, and demonstrations at partner or prospect locations.

  • Partnership Development: develop field partnerships to facilitate demonstrations and expand our commercial network.

  • Negotiation & Closing: negotiate sales contracts and discounts within defined margins, and close sales.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Profile

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in business development and active prospecting, ideally in a technical B2B environment.

  • Strong expertise in commercial negotiation and closing.

  • Comfortable with networking, public speaking, and professional events.

  • Natural ability to connect and build strong relationships with clients and partners.

  • Autonomous, results-oriented, and capable of rigorously managing a sales pipeline.

  • Appetite for technical products and innovation in manufacturing.

  • Excellent command of French (oral and written) - command of English, Dutch, or German is an additional asset (B2 minimum).
