Job description

The Manager is responsible for the day to day of the Comptoirs, in the dining room and during one-off events organized on site or outside. He/she participates in the daily service and welcomes customers. He/she manages the teams. He/she takes care of sending orders and materials. He/she works in coordination with the Manager and the Head Chef.

The function is based on 3 main poles:

Practical management :

  • Supplies (excluding kitchens) and stocks;

  • Negotiation with suppliers;

  • Management of reservations, B2B orders (catering) and privatizations (invoices, follow-ups, etc.).

Service management :

  • Supervision of the setting up (traffic) of the counter and the go between with the kitchen (+ quality control);

  • The introduction of delicatessen products and wines;

  • Major participation in the service and reception of customers;

  • The explanation of wines;

  • Participation in one-off events (privatizations and others);

  • The management of the cash register;

  • Customer loyalty.

HR management :

  • Team management and coordination (schedules, recruitment, distribution of tasks, etc.).

The Manager will also participate in the development of wine sales by organizing specific events, highlighting new vintages, and attending trade shows and fairs.

In the long term, the Manager may also be required to manage different entities, and must be able to delegate certain tasks to on-site managers while ensuring good coordination.

Profile

The essentials:

  • Rigour, common sense, autonomy and spirit of initiative

  • A passion for the restaurant business, and cooking in general

  • Taste for the field and human relations

  • Leader who is very close to his teams without neglecting the final objectives

  • Sense of detail, service, organization and anticipation

  • Strong resistance to stress and diplomacy

  • Neat expression

As far as languages are concerned :

  • A perfect command of French

  • A good knowledge of English and Dutch (assets)

A Horeca and oenological experience is desired.
