Job description

As a hospital pharmacist in the DM (medical devices) / DMI (implantable medical devices) circuit general purchasing department of the Clinic Pharmacy department, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • You are proficient in the key features of mission-critical products for patient care in clinics.

  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the dispensing circuit for medical devices (MDs) and implantable medical devices (IMDs).

  • You detect and diagnose supply problems quickly and accurately.

  • You manage inventory in an agile and proactive way; You use your expertise to minimize stock levels, managing the risk of stock-outs, orchestrating the flow between orders and restocking.

  • You anticipate critical needs and assess financial impacts. In this respect, you develop innovative substitution strategies to guarantee continuity of care.

  • You guide  strategic decisions in the procurement policy, while communicating with all health professionals.

  • You will draft procedures adapted to the proposed alternatives.

  • You monitor and analyze consumption and thus juggle with the evolutionary management of the stock in order to guarantee efficiency (overstock of critical products).

  • You will participate in the development of specifications within the framework of public procurement legislation.

  • You collaborate and actively participate in institutional multidisciplinary working groups and committees and in particular in the Medical Equipment Committee (MMC) of the Hospital.

  • You will collaborate with the Implant Management Unit (CGI) in the operating room and with the LOQO zone (Logistics of the Operating Room).

  • You will collaborate with the medical staff and the nursing department (DI) with a view to respecting good clinical practices and improving the quality of care provided to our patients. 

  • You will guarantee the quality of invoicing and budget management in your sector of activity in order to contribute to the achievement of the financial objectives of the Pharmacy Department.

  • You contribute to the training of its employees and specialist candidates.


  • You hold a diploma in pharmacy supplemented by a DES in hospital pharmacy.

  • You also have a hospital pharmacist certificate of approval issued by the FPS Public Health or are in the process of obtaining one.

  • Experience working in the field of medical devices and implants is an asset.

  • You are dynamic, flexible and open.

  • While being autonomous, you are a team player.

  • You demonstrate rigor, method and analytical and synthesis skills.

  • You have the human qualities to integrate and participate in a multidisciplinary team.

Your hours :

  • Weekdays: between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. depending on the needs of the service

  • You participate in the on-call role (on average 1 week out of 10):

    Weekdays: from 5:00 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. (depending on the needs of the service)

    Weekends and holidays: from 7:00 am to approximately 3:30 pm (depending on the needs of the service)
