Your priority mission
The position is part of a context of change (for more information, click here) where the organization, priorities and scope of the department remain to be structured.
The manager is responsible for the structuring and operational implementation of the Saddle Up department, in line with Pro Velo's strategic action plan.
In a context of transformation of the organization and decrease in funding, he/she leads a department focused on supporting the public by ensuring that it offers a sustainable, coherent and impactful organization with regard to the resources available.
He/She ensures that this support translates into positive, engaging and motivating experiences around cycling, to arouse the lasting desire to ride on a daily basis.
He/she supervises and promotes the expertise of a multidisciplinary team (project managers , coordinators, pedagogical project managers ) whose size is likely to evolve according to funding guarantees and seasonality (punctual support according to the schedule of activities in high season).
He/She ensures regular reporting to the Management Committee.
Your mission
In close collaboration with his/her team and the other departments and with the support of the Management Committee, the Head of the Saddle Department:
re-guidelines and implements the department's strategy;
structures its organization, roles and priorities in consultation with the team;

Your tasks
On the basis of the non-profit organisation's strategic action plan, the head of the Saddle Department reports to the management and carries out the following missions, in consultation with his or her team :
Development and management of the department's strategy
Define the department's positioning and strategy;
Structure the department (organization, roles, priorities, operating methods) and translate the objectives of the strategic plan into operational priorities;
Establish a clear framework that promotes participation and collective intelligence;
Allocate resources within a constrained budgetary context by ensuring a sustainable workload for the team ;
Develop synergies with other departments/locations;
Identify and develop new projects in line with the department's strategy (subsidies, public contracts, private funds, partnerships).
Steering Saddle Up Activities
Structure and supervise an accessible and coherent program of saddle up activities for different audiences (general public, social, school, organizations/companies);
Ensure quality monitoring to highlight the impact of actions.
Development and pedagogical quality of actions
Guarantee the pedagogical quality of the training courses and courses offered ;
Ensure the coherence and continuity of pedagogical approaches according to the audience ;

Team management (in collaboration with team coordinators)
Coordinate and support a multidisciplinary team of 15 employees;

Profile
Proven experience (more than 5 years) in team management, delegation and change management ;
Proven experience (more than 10 years) in project management and in one of the following areas: education, management of training programs, mobilization and support of audiences, mobility;
You have a good command of budget management : comfortable with reading numbers and financial analysis.
Your analytical and synthesis skills combined with your ability to decide and set priorities allows you to define and operationalize a strategy in an evolving context.
