A Nurse for the Diabetology Department (m/f/x)
On a part-time permanent contract (80%)
What does the job consist of?
As part of this function, you will be required to:
• Support, inform and educate diabetic patients and their relatives about the disease and treatments.
• Provide therapeutic education and learning about self-management of blood sugar levels.
• Train patients in the use of diabetes control and treatment equipment (glucometers, pens, insulin pumps, etc.).
• Advise patients on good daily living practices (diet, physical activity, prevention of complications).
• Ensure regular follow-up of patients, in consultation, by phone or e-mail.
• Analyze self-monitoring data and participate in the assessment of patients' health status.
• Collaborate with physicians in the adaptation and monitoring of treatments.
• Participate in the coordination of care with the various internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuity and quality of care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Manage and update patient files as well as administrative procedures related to diabetes agreements.
• Ensure the management of stocks of medical equipment and medicines specific to the management of diabetes.
• Advise and support care teams in the management of diabetic patients thanks to your expertise in diabetology.
You are resistant to stress and moreover, you know how to adapt to all situations and you know how to manage emergencies. Taking initiative does not scare you. You like to work in a team and you have a sense of collaboration. You give directions and instructions to nursing assistants and follow up with your colleagues and the doctor. You listen to patients. Your computer knowledge allows you to record patient data and nursing procedures performed in order to ensure quality follow-up.

You are in possession of a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a certificate in nursing stamped and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant and you hold the qualification title in diabetology.

You have a practical and theoretical knowledge of diabetes and you are a real active listener.
You are looking for a part-time job: 60% (10:48 pm) with hours between 8 am and 5 pm (time range).
You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of the second national language.
Your computer knowledge allows you to ensure optimal follow-up of files.
