Child and Juvenile Psychiatrist (M/F/X)

The Child and Juvenile Psychiatry Department of the Saint-Luc University Clinics is looking for a Child and Juvenile Psychiatrist with self-employed or salaried status, full-time or part-time, for the multidisciplinary integrated project (0.5 FTE), liaison child psychiatry and general consultations. An academic career is possible and supported. 

The "Integrated Multidisciplinary Project" (PIM) is located at the interface of physical and mental health with bio-psycho-social care provided by a paediatric and child psychiatry team. This consists of a "reinforced version of liaison psychiatry" thanks to its increased multidisciplinarity (5 disciplines), its duration (15 days) and its intensity (between 20 and 30 treatments).

Disorders with bodily symptoms are addressed through paediatric, psychiatric, psychological, educational and psychomotor reference frameworks. These are mainly functional disorders, complex somatic diseases, eating disorders and suicide attempts. These manifestations take place in difficult family and school contexts and individual psychopathologies. The treatment consists of carrying out a multidisciplinary assessment followed by the beginning of therapeutic work that allows families to broaden the understanding of the young person's symptoms by reading the various bio-psycho-social factors.

• You are a child and juvenile psychiatrist or will obtain this title during the year;
• You have an interest in a bio-psycho-social approach to children, adolescents and their socio-family environment;
• You are motivated to lead a multidisciplinary team;
• You may want to contribute to scientific research or to carry out a doctoral thesis.
