Job description

As a Road Safety & Mobility Advisor, you will be involved in multidisciplinary projects in the field of mobility and road safety. You develop your skills in these areas and become an expert in the field. As a member of a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of experienced experts, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Carrying out audits, evaluations (plans, land), traffic plans, etc. in the field of road safety and mobility for public and private actors;

  • Carrying out technical studies on mobility and road safety for our various clients (e.g., definition of road safety points, updating of road infrastructure databases, evaluation of bicycle streets, level crossings, suggested bike paths, etc.)  ;

  • Monitoring the evolution of changes to the Highway Code for all modes of transport, including emerging modes of transport;

  • Contribution to the development of action plans and support of various actors in their transition to smarter, more sustainable and safer mobility;

  • Design and promotion of training courses on the topics of mobility and road safety for various target groups, both experts and non-experts (development of a safe and sustainable infrastructure, senior citizens in traffic, road safety in companies, etc.) at national and international level;

  • Participation in the development of commercial offers, the formation of consortia, the technological control of evaluation instruments for behavior and/or infrastructure (data, camera, etc.).

Profile

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in a technical field: mobility sciences, trafficology, geographical sciences, spatial planning or a related field.

  • You have at least experience in the field of mobility management, road safety or infrastructure and are interested in innovations with applications in the field of mobility and road safety.

  • You are proficient in basic computer tools. Knowledge of computer mapping and GIS tools is a plus.

  • You have a very good knowledge of French, a professional knowledge of English and preferably at least a basic knowledge of Dutch.

  • You have good oral and written communication skills and are analytical.
