Job description

Depending on your expertise, experience and interests, you will be deployed on a number of projects. The following elements are part of the duties of a researcher:

  • You follow up on the available knowledge and literature on a particular topic within the domains of road safety, mobility or social safety.

  • You will help determine suitable methodologies for new projects.

  • You collect, analyse and synthesize research data.

  • You write down the project results in structured notes and reports.

  • You will use these memorandums and reports as a basis for substantiating policy advice and recommendations.

  • You will present the research results in various forums, for example to clients or at conferences.

Profile

  • You have a master's degree in Social Sciences (psychology, sociology, law, political and social sciences, criminology or similar) and have an interest in topics such as road safety and mobility.

  • You have a critical mind and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of a programming language or statistical software is an asset.

  • You have at least a few years of experience in research.

  • To ensure efficient communication with our partners, our researchers have a good knowledge of French, Dutch and English.

  • Telephone screening with a colleague from the HR team

  • 1st interview with HR and hiring manager

  • 2nd interview with the hiring manager and the director of the knowledge center
