Job description
The accountant plays a key role in the financial performance of the company. In addition to guaranteeing the continuity and reliability of accounting operations, he/she acts as a true partner of the business

As an accountant, you play a key role in stabilizing the department and preparing for a more automated and structured operation.
Your goal: to guarantee the reliability of our accounting and to actively participate in its improvement.
👉 Key Responsibilities
Financial accounting
Manage and monitor daily accounting operations with the bookkeeper.
Ensure the monthly closing and collaborate in the annual closing.
Accounting for salaries, social security contributions, depreciation, provisions, subsidies, etc.
Analyze and justify key accounts (fixed assets, debts, VAT, subsidies, etc.).
Perform or supervise ODs and ensure proper processing of complex operations.
VAT & legal obligations
Ensure the monthly VAT return within a VAT unit
Participate in the preparation of the annual audit and provide documents to the auditor.
Digitalization & Automation
You will play a leading role in the transformation of the service:
Implementation / optimization of SODA (payroll imports).
Advanced use of CodaBox (CODA, SODA, UBL, payments).
Smart use of Exact Online: Recurring O, car depreciation, Peppol, reporting, etc.
Identify and document possible automations.
Structuring & internal control
Creation / update of closing checklists.
Documentation of key procedures: VAT, payroll, closings, subsidies.
Implementation of good practices to make the function more reliable.
Participation in the transformation of the service to move towards greater autonomy in the medium term.
Internal collaboration
Work hand in hand with the bookkeeper.
Regular exchanges with HR for payroll/subsidy flows.
Interaction with various internal departments (production, facility, management).
Profile
👌 Required Skills and Abilities
Technical:
Proven experience in general accounting and closing.
Excellent mastery of VAT obligations.
Comfortable with salary cycles, subsidies and associated imputations.
Fluency with Excel, Outlook and ideally Exact Online.
Bonus: experience with SODA, CodaBox, Peppol, automation, VAT units.
Relational:
Rigour, organization, autonomy.
Ability to take control of existing accounting and quickly identify risks.
Continuous improvement spirit: simplify, structure, automate.
Clear communication and ability to popularize technical topics.
Initiative and team spirit.
