A cutting-edge battery-powered device currently using a stepper motor.
Study opportunities to improve power density and overall system efficiency.
Goal: Reduce battery capacity requirements and minimize overall device weight.
Analyze and compare alternative motor technologies (e.g., BLDC, coreless, etc.).
Investigate potential driver replacements or optimizations to enhance performance.
Profile
Engineering students interested in mechatronics, power electronics, or electromechanical systems. 🎓
Enjoys hands-on prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting hardware setups.
Has a problem-solving mindset and likes exploring real-world engineering trade-offs.
