Job description

In order to finalize the compliance of all its legal entities with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and to ensure the long-term protection of the group's data, the Public Utility Foundation (FUP) Les Petits Riens is looking for a Data Protection Officer (DPO).


Under the direct authority of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, you will finalize and implement the data protection strategy of the Les Petits Riens group. 

  • You organise the processing of data,

  • You prevent and control data breaches,

  • You are the point of contact for all questions relating to data processing. 


  • Ensure the application of privacy laws, including compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),

  • Develop a personal data protection policy and a code of conduct and document their processing,

  • Define processing and security procedures and manage files in the event of a data breach and GDPR violation,

  • Conducts audits, reports and provides legal opinions on litigation or ongoing matters as requested by management.

Management of personal data flows: 

  • Define and implement a personal data security policy and ensure the application of this policy and its controls,

  • To ensure the follow-up of data processing activities by continuously maintaining the register of the processing of personal data, in coordination with the third parties concerned,

  • Analyze data flow practices, identify needs, create and monitor processes,

  • Carry out risk analyses for the security of personal data and strengthen security controls related to its use,

  • Validate any changes in procedures and documentation to confirm that they comply with the personal data protection policy.

Information and advice:

  • Raise awareness and advise on data protection, cybercrime and ensure the implementation of a uniform personal data management policy,

  • Inform staff, train them on data protection, security, cyberbullying and keep an eye on new developments,

  • Liaise with the IT department to ensure maximum security of IT systems,

  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure the security of personnel files (creation, management, digitization, archiving, destruction),

  • Advice on dispute resolution procedures and the handling of litigation files (disputes, claims, etc.).


 To meet the challenges of this function, you have :

  • A master's degree in law, preferably related to data protection,

  • Proven expertise in a similar position (minimum 2 years),

  • Excellent knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation,

  • Organizational flexibility, proactivity and a sense of autonomy

  • An ability to adapt to a multicultural and intergenerational environment,

  • An ability to communicate, inform and educate a variety of audiences,

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a solution-oriented approach to work,

  • A strong sense of compliance with the procedures, instructions and standards in force,

  • An excellent command of French, a very good knowledge of English and basic Dutch are an asset,

  • A perfect command of ICT tools, in particular the Office 365 Pack.
