Kras Jeugdwerk organises stimulating activities in free time for children and young people from 6 to 25 years of age. We are active with 9 activities in the target districts of Antwerp.
At the moment, we are looking for a youth worker for the Borgerhout team. We are looking for someone who can be deployed in a variety of ways. You supervise teenagers, boys and girls, as well as young people. In addition, you will be in different places with a group of volunteers.
What you're doing in Kras:
You organize activities for teenagers and young people. That is: developing, publishing, supervising, evaluating, and recording.
You organize activities in a square and in the operation.
You are a confidant to the young people in the neighborhood.
You supervise volunteers and interns.
You work in a team (work between colleagues, team meetings, follow-up consultations,...)
You will work under the direction of the Support Centre Coordinator. He directs, coaches, and evaluates you.
Profile
You can work independently and know how to organize a creative range of activities on the squares and in the operation.
You are creative, playful, and young at heart.
You have knowledge of the world of children, teenagers and young people.
You understand the impact of social vulnerability.
You behave responsibly (e.g. hygiene and safety) and stick to agreements made.
You handle confidential information discreetly.
You can work together in a team and actively participate in planning and evaluation moments.
Conditions
Preferably, you have experience in Primary.
We look at your professional attitude, commitment, education and relevant experience.
You preferably followed a relevant education (Youth and Disability Care, Orthopedagogy, Social Work,...) This is an added value, not a requirement.
You are available on Saturdays and in the evenings. (Wednesday through Saturday - subject to schedule changes.)
