Victor Kisielewicz - Upcycling and convictions, a passion for employment?

In this episode of Parole d'écopreneur·e, Kaya's series within Midoricast, Michel meets Victor Kisielewicz, technical manager at BatiTerre, at the Batibouw 2025 trade show.

Victor tells us about his atypical career: a deep passion for wood, training as a carpenter, then a transition to the circular economy applied to construction.
Her testimony reveals how a simple intuition "nothing should be thrown away when it can still live", turned into a professional mission and a vision of the world.

The company BatiTerre recovers, dismantles, sorts and recycles materials from renovation or demolition sites.
Wood, tools, structural elements, technical parts: everything that can be used again is put back into the loop.

Victor discusses the technical, economic and cultural challenges of reuse, the current limits of the sector and the importance of aligning practices, values and impact.

We also talk about what needs to change: legislation, mentalities, market mechanisms, economic models.
And above all, Victor highlights the social dimension of the project : creating sustainable employment, collaborating with local missions, and demonstrating that large-scale upcycling can transform an entire sector.

An episode that questions the link between convictions, the circular economy and the place of passionate employment in the sector's transition.
