"6 Min. to Understand" section: type 1 vs type 2 changes
Type 1 vs Type 2 Changes, Guide to a Sustainable and Innovative Business!
Today we welcome Pierre Léonard, sustainable development facilitator. He explains an essential distinction for any company that wants to thrive in a changing world: type 1 vs. type 2 change. Pierre Léonard explains how:
the type 1 change corresponds to an adjustment of the existing system ,
Type 2 change profoundly transforms the very logic of the company, to create new markets and a sustainable advantage.
During the episode, one moment in particular struck me : I mention neurodiversity and the proportion of people concerned, but I admit that I am not sure of the figure I am putting forward. After checking, this is about 20% of the population (but this figure is probably underestimated because many practice masking). This small detail illustrates the subject perfectly : we tend to underestimate the richness of singularities, even though they represent a huge potential to transform organizations.
