For the Central Sterilization Department at our Etterbeek-Ixelles site (Ixelles)

A sterilization assistant (m/f/x)

Under a fixed-term contract (6 months) full-time (38 hours/week)

What does the job consist of?

As a sterilization auxiliary, you will take care of reusable medical and surgical equipment. Your mastery of the processes and your analytical mind allow you to apply the hygiene rules to the letter and to participate in the smooth running of the equipment circuit. Thanks to your rigor, you are able to detect anomalies and refer them to the nurse in charge. Providing quality work is at the center of your concerns, you understand the importance of your role and collaboration with all stakeholders. Moreover, you do not hesitate to reinforce the other sterilization services if necessary.

Your mission is to:

·       Participate in the various tasks related to the transport, pre-disinfection, cleaning, disinfection, packaging and sterilization of medical-surgical devices;

·       Comply with hygiene and staff protection measures when taking care of medical-surgical devices;

·       Participate in the traceability of medical-surgical devices

How about we talk about you?

You are in possession of a Certificate of Upper Secondary Education and a specialization in sterilization. You are quickly autonomous because you have a first experience in a hospital.

You want to work in a local hospital where people are at the center of concerns

Physical work does not scare you, you are able to lift heavy loads (sometimes repetitive loads of 8kg).

You are flexible: hours between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of the second national language.

Your computer knowledge allows you to use traceability software.
