For the day surgery department at the Etterbeek-Ixelles site (Ixelles)

A Deputy Head Nurse (m/f/x)

On a permanent contract, full-time or part-time (80%)

What does the job consist of?

As a Deputy Head Nurse, your mission is to support the Head Nurse in some of his or her functions to ensure the smooth running of the unit. In addition to being a person in the field: You work in the room in collaboration with surgeons and anaesthetists, you master the established procedures and you guarantee patient safety, you manage your team in collaboration with the head nurse: You accompany, inspire and motivate your team thanks to your developed sense of collaboration, your ability to adapt and to listen actively. You do not hesitate to take initiatives to improve the functioning of the unit. You participate in the integration of new members of your team and you supervise students in collaboration with the referring nurse and ICANES. You manage conflict through your ability to handle difficult and stressful situations. When the head nurse is absent, you are also in charge of the organization of the team: business continuity, distribution of staff, etc.

·       Coach, motivate, evaluate and detect the training needs of your team members;

·       Ensure the coordination and quality of care in your unit;

·       Be available and flexible in terms of schedules

How about we talk about you?

You hold a Bachelor's degree in nursing, approved and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant.

You have at least 5 years of experience as a nurse and you are looking for a new challenge. You want to work in a local hospital where all employees are committed to serving life with passion, kindness and respect. People are at the center of your concerns.

You have an affinity for surgery and you enjoy working with a multidisciplinary team.

You are looking for a full-time job where you work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) with hours between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of the second national language.

Your computer knowledge allows you to ensure optimal follow-up of files.
